Who Are ’47?

The story behind ’47 is the epitome of the American dream. In 1938 two brothers, Henry & Arthur D’Angelo, immigrated from Italy to the United States.

Inspired to fully embrace their new start in a new country, the entrepreneurial siblings began selling newspapers outside the Fenway Park baseball stadium – home of the Boston Red Sox.

Over the years their business ideas grew. The pair went from selling newspapers to selling Boston Red Sox banners and flags to eager fans.

Before long they were manufacturing their own baseball caps. They thought nationally, and started producing merchandise for a range of teams and sports.

Today ’47 has the official licence for merchandise representing the Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, National Football League, Major League Lacrosse, National Rugby League and over 900 college institutions in the United States.
