EDWIN

Half a century ago Mr Tsunemi brought classic American jeans to Japan for the first time. The letters from the word "denim" (D, E, N, I & M - reversed and made a W) were used to create the Edwin name.
In the 1970s Edwin became the first company to develop, what they called, 'old wash' - a finish that is designed to replicate that pre-aged and lived-in aesthetic of whiskering and touches of distressed detailing. Ten years later Edwin went on to invent stone washing, which is a crucial moment in the story of denim manufacturing. The influence of stone washing can still be seen today.
Edwin are known for their authentic denim, innovation and superior Japanese craftmanship. The use of cutting-edge technology and time-proven hand wash processes ensure your Edwin jeans will look sharp for years to come.
