3 ways to take your Sneakers to the next level with Denim.
1. Crop or give them the chop
If you’re going to be wearing ridiculously cool sneakers, you may as well show them off right?
Roll the bottoms up or cuff them for maximum impact and to make your jeans look a little more tailored with the contrast alongside the edginess of your sneakers – plus you get to easily change up the length without having to commit to cutting anything off. Team up a pair of cuffed jeans with a classic button up, simple knit, striped tee or oversized jacket to keep it chic and simple and let your sneakers do the talking.
Want to take the plunge? Make it a little more permanent thanks to our friends at Levis who have created this excellent little DIY video that shows you how to pin tuck:
2. Rip ’em up
Ripped jeans and sneakers are two things that definitely go hand in hand and the more distressed denim there is the better. We love the cheeky confidence and the attitude that comes with putting on a pair of these bad boys – there’s something about them that makes you feel like you should either be skating the inside of an empty pool or learning how to become the next Banksy.
3.Double or Nothing
You can never have enough denim, are we right? Double up on the denim in your outfit and channel your inner 80’s trendsetter for this iconic ensemble. This is another one of those outfits that oozes confidence with its off-the-chart levels of awesome and will quickly get you the tick of approval from all the Streetstyle Photographers and Fashion Bloggers of the world.
The even better part about this outfit is the addition of the sneakers, making the whole thing oh so effortlessly cool – it’s a simple yet very effective go-to outfit for those days when you’re unsure of what to wear.
We’d take the gamble on this one.
