Glue Store sits down with Aussie model Abbie Heath to chat about work, life and her style.

So Abbie, when did you start modelling, and how did you get into it? I've been modelling for five years - since I was 13. I was really into sport when I was younger, and that took up most of my time. I was in a car accident when I was 12 and injured my back. I needed something to focus on instead of sport, so I decided to try modelling.

Does that injury impact your modelling at all? Sometimes. Mostly just when I'm on flights or in heels for long periods of time. But overall, it's okay.

That's lucky! What's the best place you've ever travelled for work? I flew to Japan for six weeks when I was 16, and I just loved it! It's the most bizarre, fun place. It's like a different universe.

What's the most unique job you've ever had? When I was working in Japan on a test shoot, they dressed me up in different vegetables.

Wow. Would love to see those photos! So how do you like to spend your time when you're not working? I love reading. I'm an avid reader. Besides that, just the usual teenage things - like hanging out with friends, swimming and exercising.

How do you stay healthy, and in such great shape? I would love to have a really inspiring answer for that question, but truth is I have quite a regular healthy diet and exercise regime.

What has been your most extravagant fashion purchase? I'm pretty good with money, so I don't really splurge on fashion items too regularly. I prefer to invest my money elsewhere. But, maybe one day if I'm ever cashed up enough, I'll make my first lucrative purchase!

Good for you! How would you describe YOUR signature style? I like to be quite laid back, casual. I have a kind of tomboy-ish style. But it also depends on my mood... Sometimes you'll catch me wearing really girly, feminine pieces - and other times, it's the complete opposite.
