We’re on set with male model Jai Stevens, and asking him about his work, life and travels.
Let’s start at the beginning. How did you get in to modelling?
A good friend of mine is a photographer, and he basically convinced me to start.
What’s the coolest shoot you’ve done so far?
I shot with Bruce Weber in his New York loft apartment. That was pretty cool. I was shooting in Ibiza for a couple of days, which was beautiful. In general, I love doing short films.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
I spent five days on a camel in the desert that separates India and Pakistan, and without realising it I had crossed the Pakistan border. The military approached us with guns! They were screaming at us in Pakistani, and I was screaming back in English. I honestly thought I was going to die!
Ms. India , " she's a real force. You know you'll miss he but you also can't fucking wait to get away from her. It's Love. It's trial and turmoil; a discovery each day that yearns for indiscriminate patience " Spoken truly by @hannahjanemcdougall to read the full story and see some images that might just blow your mind head to Modernalchemy.com.au Enjoy.
Out of all the countries you’ve been to, what is the one that you love to go back to the most?
India, for sure! It was definitely the most surreal experience I’ve had overseas.
And when you’re back home, where’s your favourite spot in Sydney?
There are some cool secret caves around Tamarama, but also Milk Beach, or any of the harbour beaches really.
If you could steal the wife of somebody famous, who would it be?
Angelina Jolie… Sorry Brad!
Gold or silver accessories?
What’s your drink of choice?
I enjoy a good red, but my drink of choice would be whisky. In particular, Oban 14 on the rocks.
We’ve heard that you build motorbikes in your spare time. What’s your dream bike?
A Motto Guzzi. It’s Italian, and very expensive.
What was your first tatttoo?
A love heart on my ankle. My mate and I did it in London when I was there about 3 years ago.
What’s your favourite movie?
Badlands. It’s a 1976 film. Charlie Sheen’s father plays the main character, and it’s the inspiration for a short film I just starred in.
And what are you reading right now?
Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle
Ok, let’s finish up with you telling us a story…
My old man has just bought a property near Byron, and he’s bought a goat and a puppy. He’s raising them together, so now the goat thinks he’s a dog! He takes them both for walks and everything!
