This year theQueen Victoria Building has introduced ‘The 2020 Tree’. Created as "a symbol of joy and resilience for a time like no other", the tree is transformed in response to 2020 by artist Gerwyn Davies, drawing inspiration from the year of unprecedented times.
In his artwork, Gerwyn explores the aesthetics of Camp and the act of representation, whilst incorporating the Australian suburban landscape in his use of everyday materials.
